Neil Thody

Neil Thody is Managing Director of Cameron Consulting, a leading procurement consultancy.  A Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Neil is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).  Neil and his team have procured over £5bn of public sector contracts across a range of sectors including Housing, Education, Higher Education, Healthcare, Sport and Leisure, Commercial and Central Government.  This cross-sector experience provides Neil and his team with wide ranging skills and experience that ultimately benefit his clients.  Neil is also a CEDR accredited Mediator, Expert Witness and Independent Adviser.

Neil is passionate about successful procurement with outcomes for his clients that meet the business need in the most commercial way possible.  In particular, his work focuses on achieving strategic outcomes based on sound thinking and thorough research.  Neil also places great emphasis on the design of procurement processes that are simple, straightforward and appropriate for the customer.

Finally, Neil is a founding member of the Alliance Steering Group since its inception in 2005 and has contributed tirelessly in promoting collaborative working and the use of collaborative contracts.  Neil has participated in a number of conferences and was part of the consultative group when the new contacts FAC-1 and TAC-1 were launched in 2016/17.  Neil and his team were the first organisation to execute the new TAC-1 contract and the second to execute the FAC-1 contract.
